I'm sure it wasn't at $5000 last time i saw it. Maybe it sold elsewhere and that price is just so no one else will bid.

those rock turntables reminded me of the original well tempereds. the base model was so good, the later ones didn't bring anything to the table except bigger prices.

Looks like my mate in Picton is selling his Lenco. He isn’t using it much anymore as digital is taking over his system!

The covers do look to be in good condition but just how collectible are those artists and the ep format. My first ever live show, Max Merritt with the Meteors and the Chicks, Invercargill Civic Theatre.

Id be wanting a bit more of a detailed analysis of the cartridge than "fine". Unless you knew the seller and table thats probably a risky purchase imo.

Agree cartridgeguyonlineBut I suppose that even if the Rosewood isn't "fine" and needed to be rebuilt it would have a value of about $500? More if its an old, maturely aged one? $1500 plus if its in average condition?

only value in an ancient koetsu is the aged rosewood body

Just a few random comments: - This LP12 looks v tidy. - Looks like a walnut(?) plinth, which is a 'fluted' older style plinth (not sure, but this might date it pre-late 80s?) - Older Ittok too, it seems, with split 2-pc counterweight? - If the Valhalla was retro-fitted (unclear from Q & A), then this would make the deck 37+ years old, as Valhalla was introduced around '82. - Serial number? - How old is the Koetsu? Rebuilds cost around 50% of new, so you can do your own sums on worth. - TT looks to be sitting on a glass plate.

" The serial number has faded over time, can longer read it. " That's a new one to me.

The older Linns from what I can gather had a stick on/glued label serial number. So most often the excuse is that this fell off.
If it is a label and hasn't fallen off, then its quite feasible for it to have faded. But that would only be for older LP12's.
Was yours etched on the back of the plinth?
