So what's on the water, in the air or in the posties bag on it's way to you.
Three making their way to me and probably all due next week.
Cream, Fresh Cream Deluxe 4 disc set. One of my all time records from my teen years and one I cant get too many copies of so the vinyl package due later this year is also on order.
Bob Dylan- Bootleg Series 1-3. I have most of the Dylan Bootleg series on vinyl but missing this, the first. Price via Amazon Uk is good, $80 for 5lps landed here.
Rolling Stones, Goats Head Soup, Japanese paper sleeve platinum SHM edition. My interest in the Stones really petered out after Exile but GHS does have some tracks that I've always enjoyed via various live bootlegs . Currently my only copy of this album is a poor sounding NZ vinyl and after some research this Japanese flat transfer seems to get approval plus I am a fan of the paper sleeve editions having all the Cream ones .

You've got my vote, a bit of a Cream fan here.... I must look into that one. And Goat's Head Soup is one Stones album I'd like to visit in detail (my favs being Some Girls & Exile). Cheers.

The vinyl set isn't too expensive on Amazon UK when you take away VAT. Hope they at least have enough to do a similar deluxe for Disraeli Gears. image storage free

Apparently shipping 5 March, so yes prematurely "on the water, in the air or in the posties bag on it's way to you." I guess I shouldn't have mentioned The Bats either, as that's a preorder. Not sure what the shipping date for that one is. PS "The Bats January 27 at 11:48am · The Deep Set album is released today!!! Flying Nun have CD's and digital downloads available. As is expected with international shipping to NZ at this time of the year the vinyl is still in transit from USA pressing plant - due 10 days ago. In the meantime Matthew from Flying Nun is promising to send download codes to all the pre-orders of the vinyl. Thanks Matthew"

If so, its really good. Not so sure about the pink marble vinyl though.

Porcupine Tree-The Delerium Years 1991 - 1993 (9 LP Box). This has been up for pre order on the Burning Shed site for a couple of months but the postage cost of 48UK pounds put me off. Checked my Amazon UK wish list at 3am this morning and a seller finally appeared, ordered with a saving of NZ$52. I already have the first Delerium Years box set, 1994-97 and it is very well done so getting this one at the right price was becoming a minor obsession. As with most special edition box sets relating to Steven Wilson's music it's not advisable to hang round too long hoping for a discount, very rarely happens and once there're oop prices quickly esculate. www.burningshed.com/store/kscope/product/272/8215/Also on its way from Amazon Germany, The Cowboy Junkies Trinity Session 2xlp. This is the recent remaster initially through Analogue Productions which was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but it has now been pressed by MOV in Holland at a more friendly price. www.musiconvinyl.com/catalog/cowboy-junkies/the-trinity-session#.WJWAvlN97IU

Yes, mine is on the way also. Just been giving Amazon UK a bit of a hurry up regarding a couple of other purchases that left their depot on the 26th Jan and sat some where in limbo until the 10th of Feb when they finally left the UK. I'm not impressed by the service that I-Parcel offers, service seems to be getting slower and slower and when the item finally gets to NZ it can take a week or more to get down to me. Contrast with Amazon Japan which has goods in my hand in 2 to 3 days. I have a feeling I'm going to be inundated at some stage this week with 7 items due to arrive .

THE BAD1. Ha! I've had the opposite with Amazon Jp. S o... so...s o... s l o w.... But at least they've arrived. 2. Just asked for a refund from Amazon De for two items, one shipped from UK on 30 Dec 2016, arrived in Germany on 23 Jan but still hasn't arrived. The other shipped 22 Dec 2016 arrived in Germany 12 Jan 2017 but not heard of since. I wonder where they are, maybe sitting in the German warehouse, homeless! 3. An LP I ordered from Flying Out was picked up for delivery last Wednesday 8th. Usually it arrives the same day or the next morning, as it only has about 4km to travel from the store to my house. They have free shipping. Still hasn't arrived. THE GOOD1. On the other hand last week I ordered a few LPs from Dunedin and they arrived 36 hours later. 2.And from CCMUSIC USA ordered last Thursday, arrived Monday.

Bizarre- just had a cd copy of Tattoo(Rory Gallagher) turn up in the post that was sent by an Amazon UK 3rd party seller on the 24/7/2016. Now that's slow. I see that I did get a refund on this for non delivery. Cant have to many copies of one of my favourite records.

The cricket is on Sunday isn't it ?

Bit depressed after quickly checking through the big haul that arrived last week. While the surfaces all looked good and blemish free around one third are either dished or warped. Noe are bad enough to warrant going for replacements but some will need a little help from my outer ring clamp. On a more positive note the first of the Vic Chesnutt reissues turned up and I though it to was warped but a quick spin on the table at lunch time and it is absolutely flat.

Listening to Little now.
Nice and flat, but with a few scuff/blotchy marks on the vinyl (fortunately, not noticeably audible). Sounds good. Quick comparison with the CD and in my system anyhow, the LP has a little more meat to the bones, but with the CD being more transparent.
I could live with either, so not sure I'll bother with the expense of getting vinyl replacements for the others.

Given the type of music I guess it's pretty hard to get the sound of the cds wrong but being a completest of sorts I'll at least pick up the remaining reissues on vinyl that I dont already have. Hopefully Drunk isn't too far away and I believe West of Rome is confirmed as the first bonus release. After that I have originals of the rest....oh just did a quick service and also need the demo collection, Left to his Own Devices, perhaps that's the 2nd bonus set.

I'd be expecting that Analogue Productions SACD to sound pretty amazing, their vinyl is excellent (but pricey). Where did you source those from cooks ?

Not quite in the post- arrived today via a seller on Discogs. Jason Molina - The Townes Van Zandt Covers 7. I think this may have been a RSD release a year or so back. Dust On The Nettles: A Journey Through The British Underground Folk Scene 1967-72 Box set. Talked into this one by my son who of course wants a copy asap.

Cream- Fresh Cream vinyl box set. Picked up the cd/Br box earlier this year but this is such an iconic record for me that I had to get the vinyl edition as well. It came as quite a jolt when I first heard the stereo mix of Fresh Cream after years of listening in mono. Some really strange decisions made doing the stereo. store.udiscovermusic.com/*/*/Fresh-Cream-Deluxe-Edition/5DLN0000000Porcupine Tree- Fear of a Blank Planet, New Steven Wilson vinyl remaster on blue vinyl. Already have this on lp and probably 2 or 3 digital versions but what the hell, it's a favourite record so an automatic purchase. Taste- On the Boards. I have the fairly recent MOV issue but the version coming is from the official Roy Gallagher reissues done in 2011/12.

In the post Porcupine Tree, Stars Die. This is my 3rd copy of this comp, I already have the original and the first reissue, both in nice clamshell boxes with a good booklet. This latest reissue has 2016 remastering and it's cheap. Hopefully due to leave the UK today Robert Johnson, the Centennial collection RSD release on 3xlp and Procol Harum, self titled reissue, mono. I've rediscovered the PH twofer of the self titled and Salty Dog on the Fly label and after a clean they play pretty well but clean copies would be nice. I see A Salty Dog is due for the MoFi treatment at some stage so might hold fire till that comes out which could be years away with their track record.

Hey MW,
You need a son that works at JB HiFi and gets a massive discount, though you might find that any vinyl savings are offset by any miscellaneous offspring expenses such as unexpected car repair bills et al.
