For historical interest only, (and further to RdM's Led Zep 1972 thread) I came across these pics that I managed to shoot at Western Springs - I think that would have been Mick Taylor (who replaced Brian Jones), with Keith & Bill Wyman, Charlie & M Jagger. Arguably, some say, the Stones at their peak. And surprisingly, I see that there's this vid from that concert, up on Youtube -

I missed that one, but thanks for linking back to the Led Zep thread - I see others mentioned this concert there as well - but I was able to fill in the missing blank about the pre-show recorded music, which I had thought "Santana-like" - it was the Allman Brothers' live double album.

I've always felt that 1970 to '73 was the Stones at their peak. Taylor definitely added to their sound with his lead guitar work. The song writing seemed to go downhill around the time of Exile which would have made a good single lp.
