Ta, OK so same specs, looks the same, 99.9% guaranteed to be the same
If not, no bog deal as there are now quite a few options available.

well i am now committed. just bought the tank from aliexpress and the rotisserie. now it is a time to wait for delivery of them and the further development of the bit that holds the discs. after recently purchasing an RCM my rekuds(please note the appropriate nz pronounciation) will be clean enough to eat off. and probably a lot cleaner than what i do eat off!

My US Cleaner has shipped, which is a good start.
I've previously fallen to the scammers who "borrow" your money for months on end, never having any product and even though you eventually get refunded... Meantime you've not got what you ordered and they've had the use of your money all that time.

(Hope you guys get it sorted quickly ....Aliexpress have a disputes system but hopefully resolution first.....) Meanwhile, it's alive! Our clamp nuts haven't arrived yet, so the wing-nuts, the drive coupling & the support bearing are temporary parts, but.....it runs. You don't really want to sit near it, quite a irritating loud buzzing sound. Water temperature shows 20 degC & timer counting down a 15 minute wash. For starters, I used plain tap water (chlorinated, Fluoridised Auckland town supply - Next time I might use carbon filtered drinking water.)

The test record: I've a bunch of s/h Frank Sinatra records - this one a 1963 NZ HMV stereo pressing which sounds little played, unscratched, but VERY dirty & greasy finger-marked - I gave it a cloth wipe, it plays very noisy.

First wet test run: (Sorry about the picture & audio quaiity (turn it down) - the US sound must mess with the cellph mic, it's more a upper-mid freq buzz.)

Chaps - the cleaned record looks impressively clean & shiny - it sounds around 90-95% silent - ie. still some occasional crackles - so not perfect. Bearing in mind that I used plain tap water first up, we know the following: 1) It works! 2) Time duration may be important - note that, as the mtr runs at 2 rpm & the record is immersed up to approx 10mm of the label, then we can visualise that (i) the the outer grooves get more immersion/cleaning than the inner grooves, around 2x as much by my calc & so for a 15min cycle, actually the outer groove is immersed only 10 min of the time duration & the inner groove only ~5 min. So....next I'll give the record a repeat clean - ie. more time. No other changes. 2) I notice that light residue patches are still visible where there were finger marks - suggesting that detergent/solvent needed for oily contamination. This is a quandary as I'm reluctant to pour in a 20% qty of isoprop alcohol into the 6L tank :-o I may have to dig out that supermarket Basic Multipurpose Cleaner that was the rage for manual record cleaning a while back. 3) Also finger marks in the inner run-out area not cleaned, as we want water level to stay clear of the record label - so, maybe a quick hand clean around here. 4) Temperature - as said, no heating applied, but as mentioned, the cleaning seems to heat the water a bit. (Some heat also comes off the motor. (I see that some punters clean at up to 40degC.) 5) Drying - I'm air-drying at this time, but may employ my vacuum record cleaner at some stage.

oops... missed post at top of page.
15 min cycle for a single record ?
was the record pre-cleaned ?
would cleaning efficacy be reduced when clenaing multiple records in one go ?

Thanks, rocl - I use Triton X100 in my regular record cleaner - it's a surfactant (wetting agent) but yes, that's another factor on the list I did observe that, with plain water, it was 'beading' not wetting across the surface - although I'm not yet convinced that it's as important with US cavitation. Easy enough to add a few drops. Of course, if using a detergent, then a surfactant should be unnecessary. Here's 2 records loaded up (they say that cavitation should still work with multiple records, jury still out here ):

15 min cycle for a single record ? was the record pre-cleaned ? michaelw - no, the record was given just a single wipe before I played it beforehand (because it was so dirty), then into the cleaner. The cleaner took everything off, visually at least, all I could see were the slight residual grease patches mentioned, under bright light.

Have you confirmed that they can ship a 220V version? Failing that I suppose you can just use a converter.

So....next I'll give the record a repeat clean - ie. more time. No other changes. 2) I notice that light residue patches are still visible where there were finger marks - suggesting that detergent/solvent needed for oily contamination. I still have some of that Basic Multipurpose cleaner! But I've read that an enzyme cleaner that's usually used to remove blood and protein from surgical instruments is the way to go for fingerprints et al. Also read (but obviously not yet tried) that vacuuming after the US machine is effective and what I would look at doing. As for heating, I would just boil a jug and add that to the tank.

Even with a transformer, it could still be a good deal.
Can't seem to find anything under about $300 for a shipped to NZ 220V version.
