Anyone used the sleeves in the link below www.rockstuff.co.nz/record-store/50-high-density-polyethylene-plastic-lp-record-inner-sleeves/I dont get too anal about cleaning new lps but those that do need it I always fit them into a new inner. I have been using the 3 and 4 layer inners that Real Groovy supply but they've been out of them for a while now so looking for another alternative. I have considered MoFi inners but there appears to have been some issues with the odd batch of them going by posts on other forums. I did get a bundle of the 4 layer sleeves that Southbound are selling but unfortunately they are undersize and dont completely cover the record.

Bugger. I need stock too and have been using the RG 3 or 4 layer inners for the last several years. Can't fault them either.

There is a regular seller on TM, but at a tad over $1 each they seem a bit pricy. Good quality German made, bought some couple of years ago, my supply also now getting low.

I use just the regular round-ended poly inners - am I a heathen? I had a stack from RG but the Southbound ones look OK too.

round bottoms are too floppy ! and too easy to crease. having said that sometimes only a round bottomed nagaoka style sleeve will fit into a tight jacket. otherwise i use mofis <<< their sleeves and record brush are still the best things they make ! i still have 20-ish poly lined paper nitty grittys bought back in 2010 !

round bottoms are too floppy ! and too easy to crease. It's the square sleeves that I dislike - they always crease unless you have to fold the corner.

If anyone has been waiting like me, Real Groovy now have the 3 layer inner sleeves back in stock and the super clear outer. Both lots listed under collection protection on their wed site.

Southbound Record Shop, 132 Symonds St, Auckland, have an amazing stock of LPs, and also sell inner sleeves. Bought a pack of 100 anti static sleeves for only $40. Made in China and said to be a copy of the Japanese ones. They do mail order - www.southbound.co.nz online safety pics

Did you get anything from their s/h collection? It's always changing, getting stuff all the time. They're all great guys...Roger, Kerry was at RG in the 90s & Jeffrey has been involved in the music industry for a while, incl overseas.

MoFi square ones get creased corners.
Round bottom easier to use. Nagaoka are good for tight fits, or for putting inside a cardboard inner (e.g if its printed so want to keep it).
Otherwise, the round bottom Real Groovy ones work fine. Thicker than the Nagaoka ones, and reasonably priced.

Did you get anything from their s/h collection? Their 2nd hand collection is arranged a lot neater than RG. i was looking specifically for some items on my wants list, but did not find them. I was tempted by a couple of items, but did not buy anything else. The guy looking after the shop was very helpful, I didn't get his name, and knowledgable. the shop is in the building that was occupied by a monumental mason for many years - Parker & Bouskill? They lost their adjoining yard when the m/way exit was built. Showing my age here!

Parkinson & Bouskill were next door, with the slightly set back, angled frontage

I take it that these anti-static inner sleeves, with a sort of "crinkly" feel to them, are the ones to go for?
Used to use the expensive paper ones with a plastic liner, the same sort that are used on expensive European/UK boxed sets. I note that they can stick to the record and I guess that can cause static build up?

Hi sub - they refer to them as "40 micron HDPE anti-static" (polyethylene). I've always used them, cost effective. Static has never been a issue for me esp in Akld's humidity And of course if you are cleaning with anionic Triton X-100, then you will not develop static charge on your clean records Together with your Graham- modded anti-static record brush.

I mainly use the Real Groovy ones Owen just bought but also the thinner ones from Southbound for putting into printed inners.
Picked up some more today and noticed they have lots of boxsets at up to 50% off, including Led Zep, Travelling Wilburies, Queen, Jethro Tull, Neil Young.
I ran out quickly before temptation got the better of me.
