mmmmm.... Im thinking my current speakers are marginally better.. So,probably not. I like the veneer though.

i've heard a few harbeths and like most bbc derived speakers, they do not sound neutral. they have a sound tailored towards pleasing the ear rather than extracting the maximum from upstream components. the monitors are better but still tend to be a bit too forgiving. and yes, keep the grills on !

Haven't heard the Harbeths, but I like their approach of using human voice as a baseline for naturalness. Some other lspkr designers could do worse than to follow this. Most (if not all) audio designers have their own musical biases when designing components, incl lspkrs. The best 'BBC' lineage lspkrs tend to reproduce classical & orchestral rather convincingly IME.
