I am thrilled to announce the release of my 10-track solo album, "The Lights of Te Atatu" on February 24th. (Head to my website for a preview.)
It was mastered and cut at Gearbox Records then pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal Media. Test-pressings were appraised on Gearbox's Audionote system, a Garrard 401/QUAD/Celestion system and my own LP12/QUAD/Spendor system. So how does it sound?
The live/ensemble parts of the recording (Steinway, vocals, drums, percussion, strings) were done at The Lewis Eady Music showroom in Auckland, using mics set up to maximise the room-sound.
The record will be available after the launch with downloads also from Bandcamp.
Cheers,
Dom
