Happiness is........
Been sorting through all the cassettes I've had in the garage and other places, and have ended up throwing most of them away. Old cheap ones that wont play anymore and some that had mould inside them from being stored in the garage. Nothing that I needed. The ones I want to keep have been stored inside.
Tried to get my Teac v770 working but it still wont play after replacing the belts.
Not to worry, managed a lot of listening with my Teac V3000 until it played up.
Found an old Akai 46D and carried on listening/sorting.
Anyhow, I was annoyed that the mint V3000 had turned faulty as well. The recording/playing indication bar display sometimes started displaying halfway up the bar, so wouldn't play a tape.
Pulled the cover off today and it wouldn't play up. Put the cover back on and did up the back screw and the bar display shot right up.
Cover off, and I pushed and pulled the back and front of the chassis, and saw the bar light up and go back to normal as I did.
LSS..I checked the circuit boards for shorts and found one earthing screw on one board loose, tightened it ..fixed. So glad to have my V3000 back! Happiness reigns.
Didn't need to buy the Yamaha KX580 last week after all.
Plan is to copy/save cassettes onto my laptop, using the Korg I bought recently, then on to cds or an SSD.
