Recorded between February and October at Olympic Studios in Barnes, West London during what was the most difficult time in the band’s career, against a background of personal issues and criminal trials, Their Satanic Majesties Request is an eclectic mix of music that includes “She’s a Rainbow” which made No.2 in America and second record that was released as a single in America as, Bill Wyman’s “In Another Land”, Bill wrote the track and it features Steve Marriott from the Small Faces on vocals. There were no UK single releases from the album that took its inspiration for its title from the words inside a British passport, “Her Britannic Majesty’s Secretary of State requests and requires…”.

For once there is almost universal praise for this release. The mono versions are the same as last years box sets but the stereo vinyl at least appears to be a new master with some sorely needed balls. I have a couple of stereo lps and they're both lacking what I'd call heft in lower mids and bottom end. Hopefully both my copies will be here in a couple of days, DHL willing.  Would have been nice if they had included the recent 7" reissue of We Love You/Dandelion as a bonus.

That top link is US $.
I got my copy from Amazon UK, With post it was NZ$99.
I see that it has gone up and now NZ$117 against NZ$112 from the USA branch. Still cheaper that JB s ($135)and the like at last check.
After a quick check of other sites that US price seems the cheapest for now with freight considered.
