First in a series of simple tweaks, picked up over the years.
Feel free to add to list.
Power cords:
Swap out your common garden 10A mains power cords ('jug' cords) for 15A rated cords.
Instant upgrade, amps sound like they have extra 'horsepower', more 'oomph'.
Even TTs (eg my old Valhalla LP12) can sound better. (no idea why, but the ears don't lie )
You may have to make them up (or replace a captive power cord):
1) 15A, 2 core + Earth 'extension cord' cabling (1.5mm²) - similar to the orange contractor's extension cords, but can be bought in black/grey & in cut lengths from your electrical wholesaler.
2) IEC power plug:
3) 3-pin wall plug - I like either a regular 'Tapon' one or the single transparent plastic ones (any type that has 1-pc un-jointed brass pin connections inside).
