My son introduced me to some of the works. I know I have Howl's Moving Castle which I watched recently, can't remember what else is there though. Apparently I'm paying for us to see a couple of the films when I visit Dunedin in two weeks time.

Thanks Dad ! Of course you get to buy him dinner first and a nightcap afterwards. I'm only holding on for the day when he can make the shout and I reclaim my credit card. Dinner will probably be on the agenda at the remodeled Cpt Cook and then I'll struggle to stay awake through the movie.

I have a terrible memory, been informed that I also have Spirited Away. I seem to remember being dragged to the cut out bin at a video store a couple of years back, a pile of DVDs dumped into my arms and told , you need these old man. Who can argue with that. I should revisit that pile.

Hey cooks,
I'll say your memory is slipping: remember that US pressing of Bradleys Barn and that Hana SL you were going to send me ?
You probably have forgotten my address too ?

If its any consolation to you I played mine at the weekend and its a great album.LOL No problem, thanks for making the effort. Fortunately I seem to have most of my previous compulsive collecting behaviour under control or I'd be all over Discogs, Ebay etc looking for a copy and spending way too much.

I had a quick squizzo on discogs and it didn't seem to be ridiculously priced ? I've spent more on albums i've played less...
Fairly rare as a NZ press so i'm told.
Thanks for the bright phoebus recommendation btw, i'm thrashing that.

Saw Ponyo on Saturday in Dn. In Japanese with english sub titles. Think I prefer them that way, just seems right. Was reminded (again) that I had seen it on dvd at home some years ago. Always nice to see a film on the big screen where they belong.

It appears most of the Ghibli movies are now on Netfix. Been working through them when my wife is absent as they're not her style. Seen nothing so far to change my top three, Spirited Away, Porco Rosso and Howls Moving Castle.
