Here is my headphone setup in the bedroom. Not usually one to share setups but it was quite accessible. Shifted my Aries mini, that wasn't being used in the main stereo because of little kids. Bought some new headphones. There's a flagship headphone thats several times more expensive but there are no reviews outside of China yet on that one. I've run a bedside headphone setup for at least 15 years now, very helpful for those sleepless moments in the wee small hours.
Current setup is Rega Saturn cpd > Violetric V200 amp > Oppo PM3 phones. The amps and phones have chopped and changed over the years but the current system suits late night listening very nicely.

I used to wake up at 2 in the morning and listen to all sorts of alternative radio on headphones next to the bed. The soft glow of the tuner lighting up the room and the buzz of watching the dial light up for stereo when on a station. Sadly no longer, the tuner is now just a black box internet tuner with numbers, and pressing a button for a station isn't as fun as turning a lit dial!

cooksferry. I think my headphone amp is a copy of your violectric. Or at least that’s what I read the other day. Sounds amazing. I didn’t think I would be able to tell much difference from my phone (Meizu Pro5), since the phone has built in DACs and amps. It wasn’t a large difference but the noise floor felt quieter and the vocals were slightly different. I made a recent upgrade to the headphones. Not unhappy with the H850 from edifier, but listening through these H880 headphones was an alarming difference. The bass was considerably more extended, which I had predicted, but it was huge. Very happy. Would love to try planers one day.

 This is them, folded up. Great set of headphones if anyone thought about buying them. There are very few reviews of this headphone around, and I’m not going to start. I will say, though. They’re big. So if you have a small head then may not fit so well.
