Great to see it all up and running! Looking forward to hearing it in person in 10 days I didn't mind the rugs, way nicer than the stacks of wooden battens they put in front of speakers at the Tokyo Show (Presumably to diffuse first reflections)

Forget about acoustics. Ditch the native american rugs. The floorboards are much prettier. What are they? Floorboards: Rimu - reused from old house demo. Rugs: Tunisian (I won't tell management you thought they were native american . Souvenirs from her trip there, about '83 !) My bad! Great recycling of some excellent material.

Looking forward to a long overdue audition tomorrow . Possibly four years since the last session and memories fade.
Hope you've dug deep into the 60s lps for some real music. Been a long time since I've thumbed through your collection. Looks like a nice day for the trip, top down weather even.

Yep, all ready Cooks. Simon came by a couple of weeks ago - Wand has its WOF and since, his Phono EQ is installed in the system too. No too many 60's LPs handy. But good luck to Cooks, he's welcome to ferret these out - in wine boxes (non-alphabetical order) buried in storage, deep under the stairs We'll be auditioning Cook's array of hot-rodded Grado 'phones - looking forward to this.

Great to catch up yesterday Foveaux. Nice to see the Sanders system finally setup and to be able to enjoy it. Impressed with the sound stage,Transparency and excellent music, especially some of the vocals.Speakers do a great disappearing act. System shows up the good and the indifferent on various pressings which could be a double edged sword. I can see the discard pile growing. I can see a lot of time well spent in the sweet spot. The Wand TT is a visual and aural treat and I did notice a distinct improvement switching over to battery power for the table and phono stage. It's a great analogue setup and if I was 10 years younger and gainfully employed, one that would be well and truly on my radar.Gotta give a thumbs up to Simon on his design and execution on that. Pleased to see the little Mapletree amp still doing sterling duty in your head phone setup as well. Twinge of regret at selling mine. Thanks to you both for excellent hospitality . What more could you want in a day, nice drive, good company and great music. Winner.

Thanks Cooks, Always a joy to recollect the many decades of audio memories we've had; and relaxing with our music. Yes, agree the Wand TT system is really special and that Simon has truly 'cracked it' for vinyl. I'm a happy camper that the Wand TT/arm/phono is satisfyingly restored into my Sanders system. Really enjoyed your Grado SR325X's - impressive quality sound. Amazing value 'phones imo - no need to spend more! The BA earpads are better 'in the flesh' too, a definite improvement. The 325x's sound proved how good they are: wonderful via your Violectric (ss) and my Mapletree (valve) - really nice and...Wow! your 'hot-rodded' Grado SR60s project needs revealed to DL colleagues - what an exquisite result!
