Any recommendations on the best streaming service and their plan?
And your thoughts on why?

Qobuz. The sound quality is very good. But Tidal isn’t too far behind now, after they stripped their tracks of MQA. My issue with streaming isn’t the service, it’s the inconsistent AD conversion of older analogue tracks. Usually, if it says remastered, it’s likely to be reduced in dynamic range and clipped terribly. Fortunately some music has several versions of the same thing. It’s fun to find the best sounding one.

For me it comes down to four main factors
1. Library range 2. Price 3. Sound quality 4. User interface
And probably in that order.

The Tidal interface is a bit more refined and it does things like lyrics which I like to use. Truth is I stopped my music streaming due to lack of time. Just play CDs and tapes when I get the chance. Same with video streaming. Just resign to whoever has a good series.

Must admit that I usually only use the streaming service to investigate music I might want to buy on vinyl, or stream as background music.

I think Tidal has a better range than Qobuz, but not used it for a bit. Spotify prob has the best range for just exploring music.
