Who owns a copy of Aja? Wat version do you have and what does it sound like? And finally should I buy a copy, and if so which one?

On vinyl...
A good OG US ABC pressing AB-1006* beats them all !
Even a mint OG NZ is better than the re-issues.
* AB was the first release, AA is a re-issue
Also have the Cisco re-issue - YUK
NZ MCA - ho-hum
On CD...
OG German, Aus was crap, Jap super bright
No hi-res versions inhouse.
If you won Lotto..

I don't think I've ever owned a copy of this album.
And not sure I ever will!

Donald Fagan's sophisticated jazz harmonies lifted Steely Dan's music well above the typical Yacht Rock fare. Calling Aja yacht rock, is a bit like putting pop stars David Bowie and Rebecca Black (of the horrific 'Friday' song fame) or even Parry Gripp (Who could forget 'It's Raining Tacos'?) in the same musical category.
I have two copies of Aja. Neither of them is particularly special, but the MFSL cleans up a lot of the murky sound of my MCA 'original master recording'
