Hi everyone,
I have recently become the owner of a number of parts for an Aura turntable. The parts themselves will clean up pretty good and although a little rough I do expect I will be able to get this unit back it's it proper state in time.
From what I have found to date this unit I have does appear to predate many of the Aura information that is out there. The motor is a mains unit and not the DC motor that some of the later Aura tables have. You may notice the motor unit has a square push button which I believe may be associated with some of the very early models.
The chrome flywheel is also quite different in its mounting system, and I believe is missing some fundamental parts associated with the bearing structure.
I would be very keen to touch base with any Aura owners out there and learn from your use, knowledge and experience.
Parts collection picture for reference. No tone arm or related tone arm mounting system, but that's not of any concern right now.
Any thoughts, recommendations, information would be most appreciated.
Best regards,
Shane
