Only the phono in my McIntosh C2500.
Its great, not necessarily the quietest or most transparent but quite neutral. I wouldn't say it has any of the traditional tube bloom, tubbiness or high frequency roll off!

I have an Aesthetix Rhea which is all tube amplification and I'm very happy with it. There's a bit of tube noise but once music is playing you don't notice it. I don't have much to compare it to, I just enjoy it in my system. One day I'd like to do the Signature upgrade though... Are you thinking of going tubes Michael?

Maybe... I have a hankering for a Jadis DPMC Mk1. It's simplicity appeals - high gain 66dB, fixed loading. Or something with multiple inputs.
