The Night Agent, Netflix series
"While monitoring an emergency line, an FBI agent answers a call that plunges him into a deadly conspiracy involving a mole at the White House."
Easily digested political thriller. Highly recommended.

Great thread idea - Just finished The Righteous Gemstones. I've never seen so much cock before on tele! Funny too.
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

Accidentally watched the start of the latest NF action flick Heart of Stone.
What a load of bollocks.
Thank goodness the current film writers strike will mean the kibosh for crap like this.

Shame. Was going to watch that one because of Gal Gadot and Dorman, and what could've been a good plot.
Good start to Beef after two episodes.

Gal Gadot is an awful actress ! Don't watch Red Notice - another NF mess that should carry a health warning. Not seen Beef, 'cos I don't actually have NF Last thing I saw Steven Yeun in was Jordan Peele's Nope - excellent And before that in the horror-comedy Mayhem

One of the You Tube channels I follow is that of a Dutch woman travelling the world solo by motorbike. Her channel goes under the name Itchy Boots and she post regularly every two or three days. Currently travelling down the west coast of Africa but her videos go back to trips trip parts of the middle east, central Asia, Southern Africa and the longest ride from Patagonia to the end of the road in Alaska. The link gives an overview of that journey. She's definitely not a fan of taking the easy path , especially evident in bits of her current trip.

Just started watching Bear on Disney. Nothing to do with a fury bear but a restaurant in Donsville. Its really good..Language is quite strong but acting is stellar. Definitely recommend it. Maybe watch the shorts on the Tube as its subscription only with Disney.

Not surprising to see the reply from this member..He is quite clearly unhinged! He recently told me that a really good if not great album was Dylans latest offering..

Yes one that I'd highlighted to see at the Auckland screenings of the International Film Festival.
(Can't seem to get out of Auckland on the website but I assume it travels Welly way & further?)
Hopefully it'll turn up in cinemas later, or at least maybe the Academy Cinema here next to the central library.
Another was Asteroid City, which at least is showing now there.
But sadly I didn't get to any at all ... furiously involved with delayed time sensitive projects.
Maybe to catch up on at another time ... ;=})
[Edit: I meant to add, after watching that trailer, I have an annoyance with my DishTV T1020 freeview box, that despite explicitly turning it off in the menus, I get an even more annoying voiced audio description over the mere subtitles that that trailer is afflicted with... just, it seems, on some films.] However, I haven't watched live TV for months now... or even caught up with several live concert DVDs from Real Groovy's sale. Oh well!

The Continental: From The World Of John Wick
I think I may have seen one of the John Wick movies with Keanu and wasn't that impressed. This series seems much more promising.

I thought the opposite.
They are over-thinking the whole John Wick thing,
It worked in the movies because nothing needed explaining.
Prequels generally suck and this is no exception !

Have no investment in the Keanu Wicks, so these seem fine. Star Wars prequels the same michaelw? 😆

Watched the three John Wicks this week. Lots of unbelievable shootings/fights, all well choreographed but always missing the target, but getting all the infantrymen first go. I got bored with all the gunfights. The prequel is more considered and not so much mindless shooting!

A man and his dog... What pisses me off with John Wick on Bluray in NZ is that it doesn't come with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack - saved for the 4K UHD.
