I found a nice tidy 7" single with First We Take Manhattan on the A side and Famous blue raincoat on the B in Omarama, most definitely small town NZ.

Yeah the Cisco is mediocre, much like their tepid Aja. WTF does this even mean ? 1STEP Process 180g 45rpm Triple LP Pressed on VR900-Supreme Vinyl! Cut Using Original Analogue Masters from the 1986 digital recordings by Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering! I had a Canadian pressing but it was trashed. The typical Aus/NZ is hard on the ears. Until I find a minty original Canadian/US, the illegal Classic Records will be my go to Famous Blue Raincoat. However not listened to it in years so will dig it out and reminisce...

Latest posts remind me... I did have another listen a few weeks ago. More to come
Added 15-8-23
A quick shoot-out between Aus CD, Aus LP, Cisco LP and CD, Classic Records LP
Ranked best to worse.
1. Classic LP - smooth (maybe too smooth), dimensional, nice scale
2. Aus CD - a bit thin but better scale and immediacy than the Aus LP
3. Aus LP - thin and bright, occasionally harsh
4. Cisco LP - fat sound, thin voice, overcooked bass, compressed, squashed soundstage
5. Cisco CD - above plus huge bass to 11, vocals pushed forward on a small soundstage, fatiguing
Dream copy - early US or Canadian Cypress
Not heard the 2015 Impex - a new Grundman cut
