39.99 USD, about 66-67 NZD.
Getting back into LPs, I've been in danger of forgetting to lift the arm at the end of the record on my totally manual main player ...

I’ve been using one on the 301/Siggwan for a while now, it works very well.

I use to sell these in the 80's, they do work well. Good to see them back.

What was the other major brand back in the 80s ?
I recall a shop demo where the auto-lifter sent the tonearm into orbit !

Quite a bit more expensive, over $400 NZ from shops here.
Actually getting the Q-Up direct from the company at sale price USD39.99 with free global shipping is a pretty good deal. Still USD49.99 on Amazon, and Real Groovy, Paul Money, Soundlab all want $109 NZ for it.
Another fancy and expensive one is the Tru-lift:

Pre-dates that fancy new stuff.
Maybe Audio Technica ?
I just remember it was very aggressive in it's action.

There's a Project Q Up, and this Q Up but there was an original Thorens Q Up

Good spotting, and a good price, but you don't need all that guff after .html (Although I realise it might be hard to take out on a mobile.) This works just as well: And I see another suggested one fractionally cheaper discounted with slightly higher postage: But because of the wide base of my arm mount, there is very little space between it and the platter where the lifter would have to go. The Q-Up seems just narrow enough, but I might still have to mount it in such a way that it clears the ridge around the tonearm base. Maybe a strip of double-sided foam tape.
Eek, the dust!
[Edit:] I mean to add;- the single reviewer on the first link wasn't all that happy:
"Gallible humane! Works on the rise, you need to lower it forcibly, although it is customary to vice versa. I definitely do not recommend it. I use it as an intermediate link, I had to make a Microlift myself. money down the drain."
So he didn't like having to reset it, push it downward again before next use, I assume. I'm not sure how the Q-Up and others behave in this regard.

Yes it has to be reset after been triggered. But no big deal, don't know what the guy is moaning about, like I said it's not hard to do, well it wasn't on the Thorens version.

I don't see the point of these things. The click click of the stylus in the run out groove is a useful indicator that the side has finished. Also a useful wake up alarm if you have dozed off during a listening session.

My stimulus to buy it was fueled by realising, recently transported into another room, that it had finished 10-20+ minutes ago... oops.
I have one memory from decades ago waking up to find that the stylus had been in the run off groove all night. . . .
I'll be very happy to install it.

The occasional night in a run-out groove shouldn't do any harm to a quality stylus.

Still, I like it, the conception of the idea, and seeing the variants since.
I've bought it, quite happily.
Canada Post, no tracking, so I hope it will arrive nicely with NZ Post.
