I was a Mission fanboy back in the day:
Returning from UK in 1985, my 717s did great service until about 2002. With my then system, I preferred the 717s to Heybrook 2s after audition.
I couldn't afford the 770s (Freedoms?) which were a level above. However a number of my expat mates got 700s, shipped home to NZ/Aus.
The refreshed 770s:
"Launched 44 years ago, the original 770 loudspeaker with its polypropylene woofer and white baffle was nothing if not controversial. Will the reimagined 770 also make waves?"

and the 700s:
"a blast from the past"

White baffle was an acquired taste/feature, but easily hidden by a grill cover.
Old mousetraps, new cheese?
