and Fremer asks the obvious unanswered question in the article... "can it be played on my turntable with my stylus?" That's the big question. Can't see it flying if you have to invest in a whole new front end. If it can be played as per current lps then it's hard to see how it will differ.

An analogue medium for archival needs and digital means to distribute it might be an idea. I feel Hi-Res digital is pretty good for most listening these days. The problem with digital seems to be in the variable quality of A-D conversion.
