Great! ;=}) Acoustic lawn sprinklers - or hoses;- I wonder how they sounded. Probably quite good enough outside in summer?
Pity aesthetically about the screw and ventilation holes in the base, but an elegant prototype, thought, idea made. Great DIY fun!
Wonder what the scale is? 4" at least, maybe larger, plumbing pipe?
The tweeter looks similar to an early iMac one, albeit in a black surround.
Do you have a link for the source?
Edit: I found it via Tin Eye image lookup. from
Poor Plumber's Pluto : SEAS H1480 Woofer and AURA NSW2-326-8A Tweeter.
Well, I got that glance totally wrong. So maybe 6" plumbing pipes. I'd thought maybe 4-5-6 possible. Or whatever in metric.
The woofer is a nominal 5".
The tweeter is a nominal 2" from looking it up. Hmm. Maybe if it's the effective woofer diameter.
(I don't know whether the T version is improved;- I suppose so.)

No visible power source. Great cartoon/sketch though! Thanks for posting!
Oh, wait! There's a hand crank on a small device at the low right near a chimney. But still a fun image.

That's great. Good that you found those details. I found the 'PPP' just by scrolling through Pinterest. There were a few things there that I thought looked quite neat too - like some glass open baffles. But can't add them here since they're not odd looking.! But yes it'd be interesting to hear that.!

These are really something! Evidently even better than the MBLs that michaelw would have had in a heartbeat... The image rather dark, so another TinEye search... I wanted a closer look at that Audio Courante 360 degree dispersion tweeter.
From a nice long 11 page review, with patent discussions and talk of similar omni types too:
(Could dust be a problem, especially in the upper voice coil? Daily dusting and vacuuming?)
Other reviews: (and the even larger Counterpoint:)

Not forgetting Tub Audio from Wellington. The prototype of this speaker was one of the best I have ever heard. Toby is a very talented designer.

Thanks for the link!
Wow!
I first landed on the M-Supreme page, taking the Products tab, but after that the Asarlai ones you've thumbnailed are even more astonishing!
Reading the specs & etc. here:
Having just browsed international show reports & videos over the last few days... they would seem to be in top company, equal or better than some shown depending on application, use etc.
Intellectually stimulating, worthy developments, although on the prices I'd be lucky to catch a demo too!
Glad to see air core crossover inductors mentioned, with thick copper, along with all the rest.

Whacky cartoon speakers? www.theaudiobeat.com/highend2014/highend2014_varios.htm"Varios speakers from Italy look as if they were designed for the nursery. They all look like cartoon characters of a particularly woody bent, and it’s hard to imagine anyone taking them seriously. However, this is the company’s second year at High End, and the build quality of its speakers is completely at odds with the appearance, as are the prices. The speakers are made out of machined birch plywood, a very expensive way of building extremely stiff and solid cabinets.
The Angelos comes in at €13,000 to €15,000 per pair. The driver array is pretty serious. There are two tweeters: a front-firing 1.7" dome with a Hexatech aluminum voice coil and a rear-firing dome of the same size for ambience purposes -- or as the brochure puts it “reflex echo field backside emission.” The mids are covered by a 6" carbon-fiber and Rohacell composite cone, and bass is delivered by a 12" high-power woofer."
Cartoon hifi?
Hey I want my hifi to look good, too ... but maybe not like that!

Nice to see a Decca LXT-series album in the foreground, quite rightfully pulling focus from those monstrosities in the background! I will always pick these up in the wild and have maybe about 10 now. I find almost everything about them absolutely delicious. The sonics, the Decca ffrr wartime-development backstory and Decca tree, the deep, almost embossed printing, the artwork and colours, the tissue-paper inner-sleeves (always sadly trashed), the explanations on the back, most times the music, too!

I seem to recall having at least one Decca ffrs but I don't know about the LXT-series bit. I'll find it and look it up.
