Nuggets (Original Artyfacts From The First Psychedelic Era 1965-1968)
Any record that opens with the Electric Prunes. I Had Too Much To Dream is away to a flyer. An eye/ear opening release in 1972, pathing the way to an opening of the vaults and a format that survives to this day for genre and label focused releases.
Picked up my original lp in the UK, actually the 1975 reissue and still on the Elektra label.
Rhino have added upped the game consideribly since then with 4cd sets including Vol 2 that covers the UK and colonies plus the must have in my house, Love Is The Song We Sing (San Francisco Nuggets 1965-1970, a treasure trove of the famous and obscure.
