That Mike Dawes interview was great, thanks! A whole new channel & etc. to see. Loved those last song mentions. I thought I had a Michael Hedges LP, will look. And the Salsa/Mexicali/jazzed version of All Along The Watchtower. More about technique and treated guitar, and what amazing fingers and nails. I'm impressed too at the playing of complex works from memory.
Same with Bach renditions, here on a baroque lute, with interesting comments.
I'm still so in love with this Bach guitar artist that I haven't even finished listening to her yet ;-})
I'll look out those other channels mentioned in the Mike Dawes interview. . The treated acoustic guitar thing reminds me too of Neil Young & the one Daniel Lanois treated for Le Noise.. Thanks!
(Sorry to slightly hijack the thread with Bach, but just thinking of complex fingering!)
But as for interpretations, jazz covers of Hendrix, I like this, which I have. Hey Joe A piano bass drums trio, which I can imagine Mike Dawes treating on his guitar. Cheers!
