Hi Guys, I thought I would post some photos of the new room, after extensive sweeps and tuning I finally got the room to be a neutral as possible As some of you now I'm fully active, meaning I don't use the crossovers inside the speakers, each driver is directly connected to a stereo amp left and right And crossover duties are controlled by a Xilica XP 4080 CD/SACD Player is connected to the luxman preamp normally, but currently I'm trialing a T+A pre amplifier This connects to the Xilica which then outputs to the relative stereo power amplifier PrimaLuna Dialogue HP power amplifier for tweeters, Primaluna Dialogue HP power amplifier for midrange and Emotiva solid state amplifier for bass drivers, I also have 2 x SVS SB2000 Pros for the lower end of the bass The system is acoustically timed to the MLP and all crossover frequencys & PEQs are programmed and controlled by the Xilica Power is conditioned by IsoTek, I use the Super Titan for all power amplifiers and a Super Genesis for source components Entreq Tellus & Gutwire consummate for grounding Acoustic panels are primacoustic and vicoustics La Scala's are LSII version with non standard B&C DE120 Drivers (Tweeters) with DaveA machined horn lenses Rack Artesania Exoteryc 3+3

Apart from the obvious short for Garrard, GARY is short for Great Audio Revolving Yoyo.
"Definition of yo-yo 1: a thick grooved double disk with a string attached to its center axle that is made to fall and rise to the hand by unwinding and rewinding on the string 2: a condition or situation marked by regular fluctuations from one extreme to another 3: a stupid or foolish person"

Irish slang for a Euro (well, if yoyo rather than yo-yo.)
"Two million yoyos for a fucking printer?"
"any meal costing more than nine yoyos."

whata system Deano! congrats. an active system gets the tick from me too. I'd like to hear it, incl. with a TT I'm a wee bit surprised you need subs with the La Scalas, but realise it depends on your listening perferences I heard Heresey's a while ago and was impressed. Guttenberg(audiophiliac) is a current Forte fanboy. The Heritage 'speakers have an impressive history and longevity. Great they are avail. in NZ too. Plenty of time in lock-down to revel in your system!

Hey fella, yeah La Scala only go down to 51hz +/- 3db depending on position, so I have the subs take over the lower frequencies, the subs come in at around 80hz but are time aligned with the LSII bass drivers via the Xilica, they are seemless, the subs just open up the midrange and fill in the bottom end Its quite amazing what adding subs does to the midrange, everything becomes more fuller and more rounded Cheers

I have good Subs deployment in my filing cabinet with super-tweeters, makes sense.
