Any helpful starting points of this one? I have been re-sorting my Mission Cyrus gear and find that my Mission 775s turntable powers up for about 6 minutes, and then powers off. Red light goes out and Paul Simon's voice gets very slow and low before stopping. It then wouldn't power up. Everything else in the system is fine. I came back to it an hour later and it powdered up and started fine, but then powered off after about 6 minutes. Any clues on where to start??

In fact, continuing to watch it while plugged in and powered on it played for 4 minutes, powered off and then a bit later powered back on. No outside movement around it to disturb it.

If it has a pcb, try checking for soldering joints that might have broken from thermal stress. Resolder as necessary.

Thanks, Colin - at least that removes any possible common faults around dying power supplies or motors. Today it it running flawlessly, so I'll put it down to a one off odd day, and hope for the best. Maybe I'll use it more often for a while and that might settle out any problems.

Turns out the in-line fuse holder had been broken and held together with tape that had finally perished. So loose fuse - fixed with new fuse holder and all good.
