Great noise cancelling

Great sound quality

NEGATIVES

Price is still expensive

Double-tap to pause didn't always work

Slightly less comfortable than the WH-1000XM3

Battery life is down from the previous version

Custom button controls either the Assistant OR noise cancelling

I have a pair. They work well at cancelling sound on airplanes and playing decent quality music. I have yet to figure out how to use the flipping features, though. I just keep pushing buttons until I get it right, or bring up the app on my tablet. They are quite hot on long flights. I have a pair of the WF-1000 ear buds as well. Same comments--sound good, baffling functionality. The ear buds are not hot, but they do make my ears itch periodically. Battery life on both is quite impressive.

I had a pair of those as well but found them a bit muddy and heavy on bass. But really you buy them for the noise canceling, great for traveling, back when we did that

A bit of EQing helped the bass, but yes it isn't stellar.

Yeah that's true but then I think I got fed up because the EQ isn't applied when you use a device other than your phone (that has the app installed) or via the cable.
