Didn't get anything online - it was all preorders or waiting for stock.

Popped into the local shop today - I should have gone in over the weekend but weather !

Only dregs left but still got 25% off as staff didn't take down all the sale posters

Had to go in to the city centre today, so popped into JB HiFi and asked if the sale was still on but they said no!

But picked up a couple from the sale bins at less than half RRP.

Despite the ad saying in store items only, items that were on sale which said "Delivery Special Order" are starting to be shipped.

No idea why they couldn't have all been in one, maybe two, mailers.

Hmm, I haven't had the finances to consider buying new LPs, but since an input is expected soon...

Maybe I should consider (or at least read reviews, first!) Pat Metheny's new double LP.

Is the PSB Black or marbled vinyl? Sounds OK for a PIAS?

PSB is crappy marbled vinyl, sounds awful !
tbh i'm disappointed in the album, i think PSB have peaked

The Prop is also coloured, gold, and sounds much better but has just enough pops and ticks to annoy.

Res Dogs is the best pressing but my old German CD sounds more analogue !

Sorry, should've warned you about the Proposition. I gernally try to avoid gold coloured vinyl as I've heard anecdotally that its hard to get clean copies. And of the few I do have this seems to be the case.

It wasn't labelled coloured vinyl !

Mine has a sticker bottom lefthand corner that says Gold vinyl

After a quick clean, and playing it now, apart from a few glitches on side 2 track 1 (quiet track) my copy is pretty clean sounding.

I wuz cheated !

Thankfully out of the vinyl ratrace but did pick up the just released double deluxe cd of Rarities and B Sides vol 2 from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Had vol 1 for years so this was an auto buy.
Anyone going for the 7 lp box that covers both volumes. Overseas reports have been positive on sound and pressing quality.

Pre-ordered the 7lp set in Aug, and hopefully should be here in a day or two.
