Hi all, Like another Paul here, I have also been meaning to join for a while, and finally found the site.
I started my journey into electronics at age 9 when my father bought me a kit set to build a 9 transistor radio. It served me well till I was about 16 years old and gave me my daily dose of rock music via radio Hauraki. I later trained as a technician for what became Tekecom. In 1976 I moved towns and jobs. I managed an electrical store before opening my own retail store named The Listening Post, in Tokoroa, on March 1st 1978. We would grow to 4 stores at one stage including Christchurch and Hamilton. We now focus our energies on importing and distributing audio gear via our company PQ Imports.

Over this period of time I have grown my vinyl and CD collections (yes I still like physical media) as well as a large NAS drive and streaming sources and continue to explore new music of all types, but mainly progressive rock, indie, blues and folk. I am sure that many here will know me and ai look forward to rekindling some of those connections.

I think listening to music always sounds better with a glass of wine and it usually tastes better if the host pours said wine...which is a most good idea.

They certainly warm the room up alright, especially when you forget to turn them off after a late Friday Night session and they are still going on a Sunday morning! Was like a sauna in there this morning…
