Recently I have been thinking about building some bigger high efficiency speakers to replace the Paul Carmody Overnight Sensations I built a few years back.
I am partial to the vintage look, JBL L100 Classic, Kllipsch Heritage etc.
Ideally something around the size of the Klipsch Heresy would be nice (12” woofer) but I can’t seem to find any suitable designs.
I seriously considered the Crites speakers but have decided they are a bit big and also costly.
Does anyone have any experience with Pi Speakers? The Pi Four looks like it could be a suitable design, especially if I can find the drivers (JBL 2226H, B&C DE250) locally.
I think I can make them look nice with some decent woodworking/finishing etc.

There seems to be someone selling the JBL 2226H on TM but they aren’t willing to ship to Auckland and at $350 each in used condition it might be a bit much?
