Was going to keep as a spare, but will start selling extra odds and ends to help pay for hearing aids!
Serial #5258, came with an LP12 I bought about 4 years ago. The TT had been in storage for ten years and the previously installed Asaka had been long sold. Seller bought a new 103R and played one LP to test. I played no more than 10 LPs before buying an Ortofon 2M Black. Been in storage since, as I already have another low hours 103R - which is now in use since I bought my Perreaux VP3 phono stage last June.
Complete with slide on protective cover, plastic case, box, and operating instructions. The test certificate is missing.
$320 includes courier, or an extra $5 for rural.

I've surprised myself that I didn't buy it.
Whoever did has just bought a great cart for not much money!

This arrived in the post with no explanation the day after Dad passed away. I managed to trace back to this thread using the sender's name and Ultrasonic Record Cleaner Kit spread sheet ! So I guess I ended up with it...

Glad it arrived safely, Jerm. I used tracking and saw it had been delivered. Your Dad paid by internet banking at 7.45am on the Sunday. A mark of his character is that when I first listed it for sale, he PM me to say he was interested. I took that as an initial enquiry, and replied offering at a reduced price. Owen promptly responded and insisted on paying my asking price!

jerm that cart could make a very nice everyday cart for you, instead of some of those more fiddly/expensive ones your Dad used.

7:45 am is right around the time he sets out on his bike ride, he must have made that payment right before he left, likely eating breakfast at the dining table. He probably felt that $320 was a fair price and didn't want to take any liberties. I was thinking of using his SP10 MK2 set up with the Apparition 12" and the FR-64S arms as my "every-day" turntable. I need to figure out which of his carts I will mount but this Denon seems like it would be suitable for me. I may make a post in the turntable section at a later point to get some suggestions on what would be the best low (ish) fuss setup for me.

I've had a few Denon 103r variants (different bodies and stylii) on my Apparition+ arm.
Worked well for me.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, on the FR-64 maybe and then have something nicer on the Apparition arm. Although my wife likes to play records sometimes so I might need something even more beginner friendly on the FR-64 and put the Denon on the Apparition, it's probably nice enough for me?! I've previously never been bothered with MC carts but I think that Fidelity Research FRT-4 SUT has multiple inputs which would make it easy to switch between the two.

The Apparition being a unipivot isn't ideal for the novice. But I've not heard a 103R on a FR-64, although it should be OK. Anything less on that arm and table would be a waste, IMHO! Hook up the Technics for your wife.

Hook up the Technics for your wife. I should be ok with the experience of many years in nightclubs dropping needles in the dark, granted a lot of those using Serato software... But the FR-64 should be fairly fool-proof for Selina I think, she's already had some training on the SL1210 with a Shure M447 (indestructible) .
