Anyone watch Grand Designs nz on TV3 last night. An impressive home built by a couple who are professional musicians, in Central Otago. In the closing interview in the living room, there are a pair of large floor standing spkrs, unusually with bass, presumably, spkrs each side of the cabinet. One being a passive radiator? Not seen that before, otherwise they reminded me of Usher Dancers. Then on the shelf, behind the presenter, was an impressive tube (many of them) and a upmarket looking TT. They did not stay in shot long enough for me to identify them.
the owners perform in symphony orchestras, so their hidden away LP collection were all classical music. From articles read over the years, it is apparently atypical for professional musicians to have good Hifi systems.
Anyone here see the show and can identify the Hifi gear?
