Most people in NZ should have these MCBs on their electrical switch board (distribution board).
However, if you have an old house, you may still have the old wire fuses (ceramic holder type as seen in the top LHS of the pic below).
If so, get an electrician to replace them ASAP with modern MCBs (or buy & DIY).
I still recall in the 80s(?) when the first MCBs went into our Main Sw Bd - to my surprise, the music system immediately sounded more 'dynamic'.
I always believed that a piece of fuse wire would not degrade the power supply to the music system, but why these devices would affect the sound is a mystery until you understand how they work.
(On our Sw Bd, all the power circuits have MCBs (bott row), but the lighting ccts (upper LHS) remain as wire fuses.)
