Im going to buy them myself but I just have to get my 2020 Porsche GT2 polished, the helicopter needs new carpets and my Synesso espresso machine needs updating but apart from those minor details Im all in as they are clearly a bargain...

" It has the combination of a seeming point source imaging, electrostatic-like clarity and openness, and dynamic loudspeaker energy and scale. In other words, the best of all possible worlds from about 35Hz on up. " ( HI_FI+ - Mar 2017 - £99,998 per pair) " If your stereo lives in a smallish to medium-sized room..., and you have a piñata full of dineros, and you hanker for the best (the most accurate, the most lifelike, the most enjoyable) sound money can buy, the Magico M3 would be at the top of my very short list of contenders. " ( THE ABSOLUTE SOUND - Jun 2018 - US$75,000 per pair (optional MPod 3-point stand, US$9600))

A while back, I heard the MAGICO S5 loudspeakers (currently NZ$83k) at Audio Reference Co. in Akld & they were indeed very good. However, the occasion was the debuting of a NZ-made TT final prototype using a complete system & room that were all unfamiliar to me, so no proper judgements could be made. However, what's really interesting about the MAGICOs is their approach to trying to eliminate distortion / colourations - we know that speakers have the highest distortion by far, of any music system component. eg. The construction, using carbon-fibre 'monocoque' cabinet (in the case of these M3s) or CNC-machined or extruded aluminium, with a screwed-together internal metal lattice-work, is an extreme philosophy - (See video below.) You've got to admire the dedication to an idea/s & deployment of modern technologies. Not to mention the new river technology.

I cant believe you guys have eyes on my new speakers..!! I told you all I was going to buy them after I had the helicopter and Porsche sorted..

So why have the helicopter and Porsche suddenly become a priority? If the helicopter needs attention it must have been languishing in the paddock with the horses and thus not really needed. Porsches are reliable and don’t need much attention, and you can’t drive them all the time like a nice set of speakers. I feel your priorities are upside down.

I know guys with GT2 RS and GT3 RS and they do drive them all the time. Exceptions being when passengers and trailers are involved
Any updates on the NZ TT ?

Ive decided the Magicos are a bit everyday. So Ive decided to purchase Vox Olympians instead as we need a new wireless and record player at the beach house

With the Olympian’s high efficiency they’d be a better match with the wireless’ external speaker out than the Magicos. But with their size requiring an extension to the beach house that encroaches on the driveway side, there might not be room enough for the GT2 any more.

That’s a pretty nice device, admittedly.😀 I once watched and winced as I drove around the main road east of Taupo. There were roadworks and the road surface was covered in sticky tar stones that your tyres pick up and throw onto the underside and sides of your car. We stopped later and had to pick them all off one by one. I winced that day as I spotted the Porsche car club arriving at that exact section. Their cars would probably be ruined as the shiny concours-condition procession proceeded. I wonder if anyone in the car club dare speaketh of that day again?

That happened to me when I drove my recently purchased Megane from Auckland back to Palm Nth. It was truly a dark and stormy night. Heavy rain hitting the roof. At times could barely see the road but I could hear the sound of sticky stones bouncing off the underside of the car. Nek day...
