They were about NZ$2k before OPPO withdrew from the market. This listing on TM is the second or third and it started from memory at $4.25. The market will tell if it is overpriced.

'Oppo Digital, the 14-year-old US brand known for its high-end audio equipment and disc players, says it has begun winding down its business. From April 2nd, Oppo Digital says it will “gradually” stop making products like the PM3 headphones, and DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD disc players.Apr 3, 2018'.
You're probably on your own if anything goes wrong with it.

is mediatek still making universal BD transports ?
stupidly over-priced at $3800 ?
newer 4k uhd players will out-perform the oppo with 4k discs but no current player can match the oppo as a one-box solution.

You'd possibly have more luck getting a Cambridge 752bd at a sensible price. From memory Michael W thought it was a better audio player than the Oppo. Sold me anyway.
