Not a good sign, the decline in exhibitors. Once there was a 2nd "summer" CES - in Chicago IIRC?

The question is whether or not the industry is suffering, or if it's simply the wrong show for high end speaker manufacturers. As there are other shows outside of North America that are growing, it's probably the latter. Still, a lot of people are spending BIG money on home integration, not 2-channel equipment... and frankly the typical custom integrator cared more about 'future proofing' video and data services than anything else. And frankly, they're scared of the sales process behind selling high end stereo gear.
