Not sure if this is of any interest to forum members but I have to recommend an app I installed yesterday to try and keep track of my collection of music books. I'm always on the hunt when travelling to add to the collection and my son in Dunedin picks up a lot of books for me from op shops, libraries etc. My constant risk is of doubling up and I was looking for an app that was relatively painless to use and would give me a quick reference to my books.
App is called My Library. It includes the ability to scan bar codes and load the book(rather like discogs) or if that fails enter ISBN number. As a last resort you can physically search by author or title or just add your own details. While most entries contain a cover shot of the relevant book there is the ability to add your own snap if one is missing. That takes about 10 seconds using your phones camera.
So far I've loaded 143 titles and that's taken me just over 2 hours.
You can list and search by author or title and add as much info to each book as desired.
Most scanned items have at least author, title, ISBN, publisher, number of pages and date.
All in all quite a nice app.
