I don't need it, can't afford it anyway.
I have a Technics SL-6 next to a Sansui SR-222MKV on the turntable shelf, two 30mm painted MDF shelves separated by damping compound.
And a Beogram 4002 in the workshop for restoration, damaged plinth but I may as well may restore innards too. Cartridge might be a problem. Still, I own it.
But the Pioneer seems to have some good reviews:

Classic linear tracker, one of the few you can put a conventional cartridge on. Happily this model doesn’t have the dreaded automatic disc size detector on it that used holes in the mat lined up with optical sensors to detect the disc size. So you can use your own mat on it as well.

looks rough for $800
a superior PL-L1000 sold for only $455 back in february.
