This is a new method (at least for me)... presented without fear or favour!
DO be careful, it is obviously very sensitive and if mishandled could damage your records.

If that was a real Kombi you would be lucky if it ran for 20 minutes to get to the end of an LP side. I always really fancied one until I drove a restored one: Horrible.

You will only get so far on 40hp. Jamie Oliver had the right idea, replace the VW motor with a nice Porsche unit

I (part) owned a Kombi once. Drove it all over UK & Europe.

Every now and then a nice one pops up on tardme, eg. this restored and lightly modded '67 13-window appeared back in 2017

Did six weeks round Europe in one in 1975. Got three of us through spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Only failure was a wheel bearing over the alps from Switzerland to italy. Trip was helped by the mix tapes we had the program dept at 4za make for us. Two of us were x staff. Only slept one night in the van in Hamburg where it rained. Every other night just rolled the sleeping bags on the ground beside it. Good times.

Memories like.... breaking your back trying to get a failed starter motor out of the rear engine compartment. Or getting broken into in Italy, whilst sleeping inside. Or, colliding with a deer whilst touring Scotland. Or...

My son gave me a similar player van as a joke prez a couple of years back. This looks more like a Ford delivery van and it's signed as a hokey pokey delivery unit. Was purchased used and when we gave it a test run found the stylus tip was gone so no playback. So now just sits as an ornament. Shame, really wanted to see just how bad it would be.
