Checking out a couple of new release cds on Amazon tonight to find them stating to expect shipping delays in the current climate. Fair enough I thought but wander down the product page to find freight cost of NZ $50. So rip off pricing with reduced service. Found one item at a cheaper price and $1 freight with JB HIFI. Bye Amazon.

FYI, Received a notification that one Amazon album on my price watch had dropped in price US$10. So added it to my cart but noticed that all my orders now had this message "This item does not ship to Auckland, New Zealand. Please check other sellers who may ship internationally. Learn more
Due to increased demand, we temporarily have reduced product selection available for delivery to your region. We are working to improve selection availability as soon as possible."Amazon now shipping to NZ but with Expedited shipping only, so minimum of US$18 for an lp! Indeed, and now with the added GST, pricing exceeds local sale prices. Good news for Southbound, Real Groovy, and Flying Out.

Jeff didnt get the wage subsidy so hes having to make up the losses with their freight charges... How many billions does one man need. Reading a lot of late about the treatment of warehouse staff and you'd hope that the current situation in the USA would have led to appropriate measures being put in place. Doesn't look like the company is proactive in that.

I do still keep a wishlist(mainly books) on Amazon as a quick check reminder of what I'm after but these days go to Abe Books, Better World Books or World of Books. I see at the moment they're charging NZ$53 per book.
