New here so forgive me if this has already been discussed.
Am I the only one who thinks Colorado is not very good?
Compared to the other Crazy Horse's, Ragged Glory and Psych Pill, it doesn't cut it in my book. I feel like I'm being lectured at by a somewhat wild-eyed greenie.
Desperately wanted to like this but couldn't bring myself to do it.

Hitchhiker was his last one for me, before that it was On the Beach which I am informed by my NY loving bandmates is the NY album for people who dont like NY !
I liked Hitchhiker though.

yep I enjoyed Hitchhiker as well.
I came to Neil late (like lots of other artists) but I think I'm done now.

Thanks for that! Colorado featured on stereophiles Records to die for list recently, and being a NY fan, thought I might buy it, until I saw the list price! I don’t feel so deprived any more.

Only a passing fan (love Harvest) and not heard Colorado...until yesterday.
I like the Crazy Horse vibe with Neil, and what's not to like about Nils Lofgren's playing? I enjoyed it.

I love Neil Young's guitar sound - acoustic or electric.

I'm going to give it one more go before it heads for the "sell" pile.
It wouldnt be the first I've had a change of heart over.
I think the music is fine its just the lyrics that grate.

I consider myself a fan from way back with over fifty releases on the shelves but if push came to shove i'd live quite happily with just three records. On the Beach . Still my fav Sleeps With Angels Freedom
And since i enjoy the feedback drenched Young there's an honorable mention to Weld.
I really lost interest after Sleeps With Angels and can't really comment on his later releases. Just felt the fire and inspiration had gone, but he had a bloody good run while it lasted. His archive series of releases is well done and was worth collecting but the costs are now prohibitive for me so there're gone as well.
Just did a quick count. 4 vinyl box sets 35 lps 39 cds plus several dvds and a couple of blue ray.

Le noise is one I need to explore again. I have it on lp and blueray audio but don't think I've played it more than once.

Have On the beach, but despite owning it for at least 15 years, haven’t listened to it yet! My most recent favourite is Prairie Wind, gets regular outings. Very introspective, composed and written after a serious health issue, experienced by NY. Having missed out on Bruise’s sale offer, decided to walk to Real Groovy again today and bought Colorado. Their price $89.95, and when paying I remembered a customer loyalty card in my wallet. Living out of town I usually buy on line, so hadn’t been used for a very long time. Got $20 off!

Wow! $90!

But with loyalty card discount, only $70, a tad over $10more than if I had scored the one from Bruise (his price + delivery). So happy enough.
