Lenco (of course) and a 401. Did an audio test and there is very little between them apart from the price.

Well you have the set now. Whatever are you going to collect next ? Japanese DD ? English Belt drives ? Early CD players ?
Or maybe you could start on arms and carts to match the idlers, Decca Londons and early Ortofon pickup heads ?

Idler drives only. Never particularly liked belt (although I'd not say no to an Aura) and the same goes for DD.
It'll be cartridges and arms.

The turntable arrived today. Johnny has packaged the parcel very well, sensibly removing the platter and storing underneath the motor. Very tidy and neat. Johnny has done a great job of cleaning it, by the way.
For the motor and turntable, I've not had a chance to test as yet. I'll need to check the wiring to make sure it's OK and it has quite the longest power lead I've seen. I also need to find the transit screws and undo them. I need a manual - download from Vinyl engine. Fortunately not been banned!
One unexpected surprise, Johnny has given me the arm as well. A definite 'Chapeau' moment, thank you kind sir!
The SME 3012 arm looks like the series II arm. Steel J tube rather than aluminium. It is in good condition, however is missing the rider weight and the anti-skate pieces - I've only had a quick look so might be wrong.
I'll need to test connectivity, however it looks OK. Down the line a complete re-wire will be a good thing to do.

Correction to the above, I've found the anti-skate parts.
So only the Rider weight is missing.
If anyone has one that they would like to part with... I'll buy. Otherwise it's off to ebay to find that part.

No, itโs all thanks to you Jon. And this jack-ass will pop the manual in a padded envelope and get it on its way to you Monday. Transit screws are the red topped screws either side of the motor looking down from the top. And while you owe me absolutely nothing my friend, I implore you to show us what you come up with. Granite sounds pretty darn fine to me... be well and have fun!

I will, you know me, I love an audience. It won't be fast tho'.
Oh, yes, thank you for the manual, too.
