too much time spent on TM! Have 9 CDs and 3 LPs on the way.
Stand out titles - Tony Joe White, Rain Crow & Hoodoo; Loreena McKennitt, Nights from the Alhambra (a 2cd and 1 DVD set); The Flying Burrito Brothers, country rock; Joni Mitchell, songs of a prairie girl; Enya, The memory of trees; Nanci Griffith, Last of the true believers ; Tony Child, Union; Mary Gauthier, trouble and love.
Won’t have time to listen to them until June! Looking forward to it!

Been the exact opposite here: have come to the conclusion that I spend too much time and effort on new vinyl and not nearly enough time investigating what is already in the racks. Reckon I can curb my spending by at least 75%. Have found some really great albums in the racks some of which I have no recollection of ever buying and/ or listening too. Have also found more than a few purchased back in the day that are well worthy of further repeated listening. And theres still a bunch more to get through.

Similar but different to cartridgeman, I've been rediscovering many albums, and finding albums I'd forgotten that I'd bought.
But this has just inspired me to further investigate those artists by getting even more from them.

I agree with Citroen and cartridgeguy, I would love to explore what is already on my shelves - stashed away over more than 20 years of serious collecting, I have many albums yet to listen to. But with my set up in a shared living spaces am limited as to when I can use it. Shamefully must confess that over 4 weeks of lockdown have listened to only 6 LPs and 2 CDs!

Me too...I have more than a lifetime of listening on the shelves

I've run out of cd storage space and have ~25 albums currently waiting patiently on my wish list. While an identical new rack is cheap enough, I need to get my speakers looked at and repaired. I fear that is going to cost a fair amount so I'm holding off any purchasing until this madness is over. Keep safe everyone. Derek.

Yes, run out of cd storage space as well, drawers and shelves full, stacks here and there, which is why I am looking forward to getting my Innuos ZENmini Mk3 with 1TB of storage, I will be able to rip all my CDs to it!

Go Sub, great to see you doing your bit to stimulate the economy. Similar to others, I've been locating many 'neglected' albums. I've been going like the clappers ripping CDs to my server. Some years ago, when I worked in Dunedin, I crossed Maxgate's palm with some silver when he was shedding CDs to concentrate on Vinyl. I (ahem) 'found' a wine box of his CDs stored away untouched since then, including: 12 discs! Box - 15 discs! This Mingus Box is the Complete 1959 Columbia recordings. Some immersive listening sessions required, methinks. Thanks and a kind wish Maxgate - wherever you are these days.

Wonder where Margate is now and what he is up to? Enjoyed his articles in Audioenz.
I also bought some CDs from him back in the day - he was advertising them on Audioenz. Got albums by Laura Nyro and Bork. Nothing as superb as foveaux’s score!

Wonder where Margate is now and what he is up to? Enjoyed his articles in Audioenz. Hi Sub, I've lost track of Maxgate. We had dinner together and he was in the process taking up a residency in Auckland. In preparation for this move he was putting his audio system into storage. (An Italian TT, Unico Pre/Power, Daedalus loudspeakers, McIntosh CD etc. all exotic & highend). He had a clean-out of his CDs at this time too. Subsequently I read that he was made redundant from the Philosophy Dept at the University of Otago, sold his house in Dunedin to finance his next residency which was/is in Russia (2019) and then travel? "David's intellectual restlessness protects him from mistaking the fashionable for the significant." (from his website: davidhowardpoet.com/about and so representative). I always enjoyed his brilliant contributions to the forum. I loved this one: "I've been giving the fingers to fiscal responsibility. Saving for retirement? I intend to be buried in a speaker cabinet"

Oh, nearly forgot, have bought Mandolin Orange “Such Jubilee” at the YepRoc sale a few weeks ago. I guess it will arrive eventually! Checked progress of order yesterday, says “processing” which clearly means diddly squat as an order placed last last year and received, also says “processing”!

Went into the den yesterday, looked at the collection, told myself that there are some great records waiting to be played then walked out. Just can't get in the mood. Re Maxgate, enjoyed the lunchtime mets we had . David's enthusiasm was infectious and I used to come away feeling my vocabulary had been boosted as well.

I must say I miss maxgate a bit myself. I too, got some stuff from him before he departed. (His TT was a Bluenote Bellagio.) Thanks Owen, Ah, yep that's it - Bluenote... very exotic. I wish I could have seen/heard it. He invited me to his listening room that he purpose built at his house at Purakanui (isolated on top of a hill in the countryside between Port Chalmers and Blueskin Bay, with views way-out over the Pacific that he cherished). I was keen to hear his system. Unfortunately I never got to before he stored it away. He listened to my main Sanders system once. He reckoned he'd investigate 'active' speakers on the back of that session...
