Whilst we are at Alert Level 4 with this thing, Trade Me advise that they will allow sales to be completed but the item cannot be couriered to you, whilst we are under Alert Level 4 - unless the seller is a professional seller who is an 'essential business'. This is also because their couriers are now taking bookings only from 'essential businesses'. For sales listed by 'casual sellers: " We’ll hold the funds until all courier bookings and pick-ups are able to proceed again. " " We’re taking these steps because we don’t want to encourage any non-essential travel, face-to-face contact or courier bookings. "

Good. No one needs to shop for non-essential products that badly :-)

Would admit that this caught me by suprise too. I was sort of thinking that I could at least continue with my online purchases through the lockdown. Vinyl and books are essential items in this household.

Couriers are still delivering here in the UK. They drop the item by your front door, knock on the door and when you answer they take a photo of either the house number or the item having been delivered. They stay away more than 2m and you don’t sign for anything anymore. When you receive a package you can disinfect it before it comes further than the front door. The supermarkets here have taken to allowing only a limited number of shoppers in at any one time. There is indicating tape on the ground set 2m apart so when you wait in the queue outside you wait in-between the tape markers. Also 2m tape markers in the aisles of the shop. It took 25mins to get through the outside queue this morning before 8am, it will only get worse as the day goes on. So far everything I’ve bought online during the lockdown is still arriving, all except for things from NZ!

They are still delivering here - in fact Linda Clark was on the radio this morning and she mentioned a courier delivered a clothing item to her doorstep today that had been ordered a while ago. The issue with trade me is that the couriers are only collecting from essential services and PO's are shut.
