There was a time when I religiously kept a note of my stylus usage in hours, in a notepad after every session (I'm not that OCD anymore ). However, StylusTimer is an inexpensive (US$19.95) accumulated time 'cartridge odometer'. Yes, you may need one for each cartridge, if you have more than one. You could use it also to track say, your vacuum tube hours, or equipment burn-in time, etc, etc, if you wish. Michael Fremer reports:

I briefly tried using a clicker. I see that I got up to 52 then haven't used it since. If you have a phone there are lots of apps that do the same thing for free.
