Chatting with a pal over the holiday break, I became aware of a new-manufacture LENCO turntable being sold here.

The LENCO L-174 TT retails for only NZ$529 with AT95 cartridge.
It's a new, inexpensive TT with built-in phono preamp, USB digital out, belt-drive.

The Swiss LENCO company is now a Dutch-owned brand, based in Holland & manufacture numerous TTs & various entertainment products.

Andrew, a member of NZ band Stellar, had just returned from touring the recent re-release of their 1999 No.1 selling album 'Mix'.

This is short snip of Andrew's LENCO L-174 playing the new red vinyl, which was pressed by Holiday Records in Auckland.

I keep seeing these on Trade Me ($349) by Surplustronics and wondered if they were OK or just another Crosley-type.
User adjustable tracking force is a good start.

Must be the first time Mix is available on vinyl.

Yes & he said that the vinyl re-pressing at Holiday was a costly exercise.

I see they have tracking at 2.5 gms which at least is not like some Crosleys at over 5 grams!
