Are these old albums really worth what the retailers/manufacturers reckon they are...?? But wait...they are numbered..WOW.. That will make them sound WAY better Im sure! And then theres the hybrid SACD..Man alive...Give me strength!

haha... sorry chaps, just have to repeat my comment in the earlier Beatles Abbey road thread: "....I'm in Michael's camp. Caveat emptor. So many reissues, re-engineered, remixes etc. have the unmistakable stench of 'marketing' money transfusion vs musical integrity. Making Movies is my favourite and I find that the Grundman/Ludwig 2014 remaster beats my clean NZ 1980 pressing.
If I wasn't under an embargo i'd be tempted by a sacd version for the bedroom system and the day when all the lps have gone.

The first 2 albums were good imo, after that meh. And ive already got those so no chance of me buying them again.
