I'm really sad to see the Twittering Machines website closing down: Twittering MachinesThis is the website that Michael Lavorgna launched after leaving Stereophile (also Stephen Mejias was contributing). I really liked the site and especially the fact that it didn't restrict itself to equipment reviews but rather took a broader interest in new music and even art & photography. I think this was really interesting and a breath of fresh air. I guess it's a shrinking audiophile audience out there and not a whole lot of space.

Maybe Michael has a job with a big publication? I quite enjoyed his 'barn' theme " Due to personal and professional reasons, Twittering Machines will close its virtual doors next month [footnote 1]. I am, in effect, retiring from hifi ", he says.

TWITTERING MACHINES (Michael Lavorgna), after one year, commenced again in July 2020, as we know... " Besides, even I was wrong — turns out I didn’t retire, I just took a break. " (Michael has a unique (in our parts) & spacious listening room, his "barn".)
