47 Labs has announced a new turntable called 4742 Simple Koma. Some of you might remember the 4724 Koma, a brilliantly engineered table (using 2 separate platters rotating in opposite directions to eliminate rotation side-effects). The new 4742 Simple Koma is a simpler table (I would say a totally different table) and it comes coupled with a new 4742 "Exact Tracer" tonearm. A few more information:
4742 Simple KOMA Turntable
New product from 47Laboratory, 4742 Simple KOMA is younger and simpler brother of fabulous 4724 KOMA turntable.
It operates with battery power supply.
4742 Simple KOMA employs 4 Eneloop rechargeable batteries (approx. 5V) on each side of the power supply (total of 8).
Operational time when using only 4 Eneloop batteries is 30 hours of continuous run and with 8 batteries 4742 Simple Koma will run for minimum of 3 days.

There are also a couple of clips that have been released showcasing what the tonearm can do in-terms of tracking:
There are 2 sets of 4 batteries used. If my Japanese auto-translate is correct they are also working on a battery-operated phono that is going to be using the 2nd set of batteries.
Looks really interesting!
